Community Development Update: Exciting Things Happening in Harvard!
There’s positive momentum happening across the City of Harvard, and we’re excited to share a few updates on current building and planning projects around town. These investments reflect continued confidence in our community and contribute to the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere we’re proud to offer residents and visitors alike.
McDonald's
As renovation work continues, McDonald’s will temporarily close on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 6:00 PM to allow crews to complete the final phase of interior improvements. During this time, staff will also be training on new menu items and updated operations as part of the restaurant’s refresh. The location is expected to remain closed for approximately one month, with plans to reopen toward the end of April.
Starbucks
Starbucks has submitted new interior plans, which have officially been approved. We’re excited to see this project move forward, with renovations beginning in March, and will share a projected completion date as soon as it’s announced.
Drecisco Dispensary and Lounge
Interior updates are currently in progress at Drecisco Dispensary, with a newly planned opening date of May 1, 2026. We’ll continue to provide updates as that date approaches.
Design Coach
Design Coach is in the final stages of its building remodel. New awnings have recently been installed along the front of the building on Ayer Street, adding a fresh look to the downtown corridor.
We’re grateful for the businesses choosing to invest in Harvard and for the community members who support them. These improvements strengthen our local economy and enhance the experience of living, working, and gathering in our city.
For additional project details and ongoing updates, residents are encouraged to review the monthly City Council Agenda Packets, available on the City’s website.
